Flow app privacy policy

Effective Date: 15 July 2025

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the KAVODA Flow mobile application (the "App") provided by KAVODA LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy details our commitment to protecting the privacy of our users ("you," "your") and outlines our data processing practices in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other relevant legislation.

KAVODA LTD is the data controller for any processing activities described in this policy.

2. Our Core Principle: Your Data is Yours

The KAVODA Flow App is fundamentally designed to be a private and offline-first experience. All personal and sensitive health data you enter into the App is stored solely and exclusively on your local device. We do not have the technical means to access, view, or process this data.

3. What Information Is Processed and How

  • Data Stored Locally on Your Device:
    • Personal Information: Your name (optional).

    • Sensitive Health Data: Last period start date, average cycle length, average period length, historical period data, and any notes you add regarding symptoms, mood, or other personal matters.

  • Data We Do Not Collect: We do not collect, store, or have access to any of the personal or sensitive health data you enter into the App. All calculations for cycle prediction and fertile windows occur on your device.
  • Anonymized Data for App Functionality:
    • The "Guide" and "Shop" sections of the App require an internet connection. When you access these sections, your device makes a request to our servers to retrieve the content. This involves the processing of your IP address, which is necessary for internet communication, but we do not log or store this IP address in connection with your use of the App.

4. Lawful Basis for Processing

As we do not process your personal data, we do not rely on a lawful basis for such processing. The processing that occurs within the "Guide" and "Shop" sections (i.e., the handling of your IP address to provide content) is based on our legitimate interest in providing these App features to you.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share your personal or sensitive health data with any third parties because we do not have access to it.

6. Data Security

We are committed to ensuring your information is secure. While your data is stored on your device, we have implemented security measures within the App's code to protect it. However, the security of your device itself (e.g., through the use of passcodes and keeping the operating system updated) is your responsibility.

7. Data Retention

We do not retain any of your personal data. The data you enter into the App remains on your device for as long as you have the App installed. If you delete the App, all associated data is permanently erased.

8. Your Data Protection Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have several rights regarding your personal data. As your data is stored on your device, you can exercise these rights directly:

  • Right of Access: You can view your data at any time by opening the App.
  • Right to Rectification: You can correct or update your data within the App's settings and calendar.
  • Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You can delete all your data by uninstalling the App from your device.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: As we do not process your data, this right is not applicable.
  • Right to Data Portability: This right is not applicable as we do not hold your data.
  • Right to Object: You can object to the limited processing of your IP address by not using the "Guide" and "Shop" sections of the App.

9. International Data Transfers

We do not transfer any of your personal data internationally.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any significant changes by providing a notice within the App and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy regularly.
